"The Lady of the Falls" is a puppetry play about friendship, memory, and being all in it together. It tells the story of a young girl’s heroic journey upriver to meet the feared protector of the river and forest. The story moves between present and past and combines Bunraku-style puppets with shadow puppetry.

A serious and absurd puppetry piece about the Muskrat Falls project: how it was born and what it means for the people of the province. Tara, Danny, Young Nalcor and others try to figure out what kind of love story this is in a timely exploration of the latest controversial hydro-electrical mega project in our province’s resource history. A show for adult audiences.

The Tentacle's Claw

The Tentacle’s Claw is the story of one man’s quest to use the power of mind control to take over the world, and the one woman who could stop him. Dr. Demonious Horlack has set up his laboratory of horrors in a quiet, seaside town. The former Nazi scientist has devised a way to control simple creatures using the power of the mind. With the help of his assistant Gunda, he has gained power over a giant cephalopod, and is using the creature as his personal assassin. Fortunately for the people of the planet, there is a schoolteacher, Marie LeMay, living in the same town. As the traumatic tentacle attacks start to take their gruesome toll, Marie begins to unlock innate, psychic abilities. Her brain scientist boyfriend, Professor Dick Goodwin, helps her recognize the potential she has deep within the recesses of her mind. The stage is set for an epic, psychic showdown. But can she prevail?…

St. George and the Dragon

The 2009 shadow theatre adaptation of St. George and the Dragon was the Puppet Couple's first touring puppet show and workshop series which Manuel toured and performed solo throughout the province. The seeds that were sown in this show and workshop series changed the course of the Puppet Couple's careers and led to an explosion of puppetry work in Newfoundland and Labrador. They have taken the model of the small, touring show and found new ways of bringing original theatre and arts education to rural communities.
